How the payment fee works
When a client pays an invoice online, the payment goes to your own Stripe account. Two separate fees apply:
- Stripe’s processing fee, which Stripe charges you as it would without us. See Stripe’s pricing.
- Our fee: 0.75% on Free, 0.25% on Pro, taken from that payment by Stripe and sent to us.
There is no fee from us on payments you record yourself: checks, cash, bank transfers, Zelle, Venmo, or a PayPal link.
Worked example: a $1,000.00 invoice paid online by card

If you record the same $1,000.00 as paid by check, our fee is $0.00. Every payment in PaidFinch shows the fee taken, and refunds return our fee in proportion.
