Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated [effective date]

PaidFinch is for legitimate businesses billing their own clients for real goods and services. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. If you see it being broken, tell us at support@paidfinch.com.

You may not use PaidFinch to

  • Break any law, or sell anything illegal where you or your client are.
  • Take payments for any business or product that Stripe does not allow; see Stripe’s restricted businesses list.
  • Send invoices, proposals, or emails to people who are not your clients or who have not dealt with you, or send bulk unsolicited messages.
  • Pretend to be another person or business, send invoices for work not done, or otherwise deceive or defraud anyone, including phishing.
  • Charge a saved card without the client’s permission, beyond what they agreed to, or after they withdrew it.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, including in invoice notes, emails, or attachments.
  • Upload malware or content you do not have the right to share.
  • Collect payments on behalf of another business that has not connected its own Stripe account.
  • Interfere with PaidFinch: probing or breaking its security, getting around limits or plan restrictions, scraping it, overloading it, or accessing another account’s data.
  • Resell or rent access to PaidFinch without our written permission.

What we may do

If we believe this policy has been broken, we may remove content, pause sending, turn off online payments, or suspend or close the account, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities or to Stripe. Where it is safe and practical, we will tell you first and give you a chance to explain or fix the problem.
